GeoServer for Windows

GeoServer for Windows

A Java-based programs site called Geoserver enables viewing and editing of spatial information. By using open standards established by the Open Geospatial Consortium( Ogc ), Geoserver enables a great deal of flexibility in map creation and information sharing.

Geoserver can produce maps in a variety of output formats by using the Web Map Service ( Wms ) standard. Geoserver includes Openlayers, a complimentary mapping collection, which speeds up and simplifies chart creation.

Geotools, a Java Gis toolkit that is amenable base, is the foundation upon which the Geoserver application is built. Any of the well-known modeling applications, including Google Maps, Google Earth, Yahoo Map, and Microsoft Virtual Earth can be used with Geoserver to display facts. Geoserver you also work with conventional Gis structures like Esri Arcgis.
